I'm not sure what happened last night, but it definitely was fun. We got in pretty late and therefore slept pretty late!
We are all feeling much better than we had when we first got here. The heat still takes a toll on us but we have learned to drink water and sports drink's like crazy. I think 1/2 our food budget has gone to water and sports drinks. Oh and Iced Tea's! Or we are just comfortable walking around in our sweat all day. It's kind of gross walking around feeling sweaty all day. We carry around with us deodorant spray and spray ourselves constantly to help feel "Fresh"! Doesn't really work well but at least we smell fresh.
It doesn't really matter if we take showers or not. As soon as we walk out of the shower we start to sweat! well we don't really get dry due to the humidity and then we just walk around in our own sweat all day. It really is kind of gross. The A/C at most of the buildings don't work that well. Some of the subway / train car's have excellent A/C and we'd rather just ride around in them all day just to stay cool. Cool, not dry. The A/C doesn't really help with the humidity. just keeps the humidity cool.
I have to blog about the sweeteners. They have liquid sweeteners. This stuff is awesome for iced tea's. They have regular gum sugar, and low sugar sweeteners and even liquid lemon for your iced teas. This stuff is awesome! I want to bring a case home with me.

So we headed out around 1:00pm and went to Odaiba area. It's located on the Tokyo water front. I talked about the "Pusher" for the subway in earlier blog's. Well our car this morning could have used a pusher. This was the fullest sub car we have experienced so far. so I had to take a photo!

This is the view of Tokyo from the harbor area we were at!

We found a great authentic Mexican Restaurant. uhm not really but it was sort of Mexican.
It was HOT! so what else do you do on HOT days.... you go to a movie! We watched Inception in TOKYO! The whole movie watching process was awesome! We walked up to the ticket lady who spoke great English. She pointed out which of the 15 movies they were showing were in English. Three of them! Inception was in English with Japanese Sub Titles. Perfect. you actually pick the seats, like in a theater / show style setting. No free seating here! I explained that i was a student but did not have my student ID! I passed! I got 300 Yen discount, so the movie only cost about $17.50 or so. They also serve beer at the theater! I also was able to bring my back pack into the theater which was packed with bottled water and 2 camera's. This killed about 3 hours during the HOT time of day.

After the movie we did some photo shoot's of the city. The skyline is beautiful just like the city.

I happen to cross a digital thermometer! this was taken about 7:15PM. Please note at 7:15PM, about 2 hours AFTER the sun went down the temperature was only 33 degrees celcius. Yes that is like 100 degree's. with 100% humidity!

We then we went to Roppongi area. Roppongi area is the clubbing / bar / party area of Tokyo. Again this was quite the happening place. walked into and then out of Hard Rock Tokyo!

We found a local place for dinner. You order your meal via a "Vending Machine" which dispenses a ticket that you give to the server. they then bring your meal out to you. I ordered apparently Sizzling steak, corn, and rice. you cook the steak yourself on the hot plate, mix with rice and corn and go to town.

We saw most amazing and hilarious things. a big fish! And we weren't even at the Aquarium!

And on our train back the group of people sitting down across from each other were all on their cell phones!

We were kind of done for around 10:00PM. again the heat beat us down. We decided to go back to the hotel and rest tonight and try for a long day and night tomorrow. The heat with the Humidity is just zapping all of the energy out of us.
OK it was a low activities day. Sorry the movie took like 3 hours of sit and do nothing time which we really needed. But overall Tokyo / Japan is awesome! I want to learn Japanese! I would love to move here! Maybe I should look for a job while i'm over here! start working on my work visa and such!
