So i was awake nice and early at 6:00AM local time. I hopped out of bed and realized that i was in desperate need of coffee. uhg. Starbucks trip i go. There are plenty around our hotel so no biggie.
Went to a Bakery for breakfast located in the hotel. OMG this looks so good: Blueberry cheesecake!
So after packing up and moving to a new hotel for the next 4 nights became much eventful as thought. We got a free room at the Hyatt and figured that would be perfect for the first night as we acclimate to the new time change. We actually were moving 50' across the street to our new hotel. However we decided to take the sky bridge which connected the two hotels. Now imagine hauling a large check in suitcase along with a smaller carry on suitcase and a backpack across this sky bridge that after the fact we find out has a BUNCH of stairs and NO ELEVATOR. Now I may work out but i'm no he-man! We carried the suitcases up and down a bunch of stairs. But by the time i got to the last flight of stairs that we had to walk down I kind of got fed up and just pulled my suitcases down the stairs. I got so many stares from people thinking i'm crazy.
We checked in and went and talked to the concierge again to help map out our days tours.
We decided to take local transportation to the river and then take the river taxi to the temple. This worked out great until we got to the river taxi. We were told to NOT TAKE the Tour Taxi. well every time we asked people where the "Public Taxi" was they all kept pointing back to the tour taxi. So out of frustration we just took the tour taxi.
This river is disgusting. Note all of the boats and the brown goo. Not sure if you call that water or just brown goo.

We arrived at the temple and walked up to get our tickets. As we were walking up to the ticket counter, the lightning struck and then thunder rolled. and then.... The largest down pour i have ever witnessed in my life! This continued during our whole visit to the temple. We were there for about an hour to and hour and a half. There is something wrong when the Thai people who were there were also taking refuse in any dry portico they could find. We finally decided to cut it short, run to the entrance which was about 2000' feet away. This decision left us soaked. We are just going to mark this up as an experience.

(Battery died on camera. Sorry you'll have to wait for photo's)
We walked down the taxi line to get a cab. They all tried to rip us off asking for 600 Baht. That is crazy expensive. So we decided to go eat! After eating we came to the consensus that we are just getting a cab or something to get back to the hotel. We asked a tuk tuk driver to take us and he said it was too far. He said take a cab. We told them they all want 600 Baht. He said that is a rip off get one on the meter. We explained they wont. He then flagged down a Taxi Driver who would use the meter. We tried to tip the Tuk Tuk driver and he would not take it. said "you come to my country, I help you out. No tip. Have a good Holiday." Now talk about a nice guy. I have never met someone like that.
Now the dive back to the hotel was interesting. The driver kept trying to sell us on uhm... Let's just use the term Extra Curricular NIGHT Activities. We kept turning him down but he kept insisting. We took an HOUR of this. oh and traffic Sucks here. Our total cost for a 1 hour Taxi ride back to the hotel was 130 Baht.
To the pool we went which is up on the roof. With a bar. and a view. We arrived at the top to find it still raining and cold. Who knew that in a city where it's running in the 90's and about 1000000000% humidity it would be freezing cold 37 floors above? We didn't stay long. (
Oh and photo's to come later of the pool area. Battery died on my camera.)
Dinner and a mall. That sounds like a movie. We walked the raised walk way to the mall about 3 blocks down the road. it's a very upscale mall with Louis Vitton, and Burrberry, Gucci, Bvulgari, etc. about 8 levels of mall. It was packed with ton's of people shopping.
We ended up at this "Very Nice Looking and Packed" Italian restaurant. Not really sure why because over all the food sucked. Yes we had to give them a little credit figuring that we are in an Asian city and they are cooking and serving Italian food. but still that is no excuse. We didn't get our initial plate of bread. My "Fresca" mixed drink tasted like puke. The Lasagna came with orange Vodka sauce and the anchovies on the Caesar salad over did everything else in taste. Every check here in this country comes with an automatic 10% tip added into the billing. We just figured we didn't need to add anything more! it was time to go. Oh btw I split a Salami pizza with Zac.

We continued to walk the mall looking for stuff to buy. when I came across True Religion Jeans which were selling for 18,000 Baht = around $500 USD. I felt it was time to leave.

As we were walking back to the hotel at 10:00pm we discussed weather we were going to the clubs or not. I think sleep won and we all went to bed. I crashed first. well Again Advil PM helped!
