I'm feeling more refreshed today than the past couple days. Just need to keep drinking water! We downed about 5 bottles of water at least a couple bottles of sports drink, a few iced Tea's and then other drinks (no alcohol yet at least) between leaving at noon and getting back in at 6:00pm. We hydrated ourselves a LOT today. But it was still very draining on us. I bet it's very close to 100 degree's (some areas it has hit 35 degree Celsius. That is too dayum Hot) if not higher and the humidity is still 100000%! The heat is just killing us. but we are staying as hydrated as possible.
Side note. I have included photo's of some of the cheat cards we have used in ordering. It's great to have menu's with photo's and in English and Japanese so that we can point at the item we want to order.

We left at noon for the Grand Palace. IT was a downer. Not that exciting. Plus we had to be outside the whole time dying in the heat! So we clicked a few photo's and took off for an enclosure and air conditioning.

Uhm for some reason they do not want you to "Stay here".

At this point we just decided to focus on staying in side and staying cool. This ended up us riding around on the subway for a while in air conditioned cars.
We found a Chinese restaurant that catered to our diverse requirement of food. I have included some photo's of the challenges of ordering. no English.
We rode the elevator down from floor 14 to floor 2. it started out just us three. then we hit every single floor on the way down. It got pretty crowded. Anyhow the commentary on the elevator from myself was quite amusing. As you could imagine we were all laughing pretty hard. I HOPE that no one else could understand what I was saying. The subway system here has a position called "The Pusher." During rush hour the pusher pushes people into the subway cars to fill them to capacity. Well the joke was that we'll need a pusher for the elevator!

We then wandered around Shinjuku area. We got lost and just kept wandering. We were in quite the happening place. Not exactly sure where we went to, we just walked turned walked, turned, walked! This place was crazy. so much going on.

Look at the parked bikes lined up along the sidewalks.

Such a Cute Dog! If you move your head really fast you can see him stay still.

We did find a McDonalds for the fat boy to stop at and then made it back to the hotel. We are going out tonight. We have decided on Bar's Bar's Bar's. so this blog may have to be late in posting!

One of the things we have mastered is the subway/rail lines. They are very similar to the New York City Subway system but more intense. This is the way we have gotten around town.
We went out to dinner to New York Grille New York Bar Club at the Park Hyatt Tokyo. Then we went out clubbing. Not exactly sure how long we were out but it was about 7 beers long.... The Jazz band was from Las Vegas. The atmosphere was totally awesome. This is the Bar that was in the movie Lost in Translation.

This was our bill for three. it is about 83 Yen to the Dollar. So around $450.00. This finally put us over budget for the trip! But it definitely was well worth it.

Ok so the cab ride was pretty amusing. It was close to a $65.00 cab ride back to the hotel. every turn we made someone said "Wheeee" which made the cab driver crack up laughing hysterically. Along with those comments, Zac had been playing with the Japanese / English translator on the cell phone and kept asking "Where is the nearest handicapped ramp?" in Japanese. The Cab driver definitely got his money worth on this trip. We made it back to our hotel somewhere in the wheee hours of the AM! i'll say 2:00am but i could be wrong by an hour or two! Let's just say it was late and leave it at that!
