SEA -> YVR

As I sit in Vancouver BC at 1:04AM I quickly think back about the last 3 hours of the start of my trip. My mind is buzzing with excitement. I wonder if i'm able to keep up with this energy. But here is a blog of my trip.

My trip started off with a great dinner with the family for my birthday at Purple in Bellevue. It was absolutely fabulous. 6 Glasses of wine and I was gone. Chicken and a potato wedge to top it off. yummy. My roommate drove me to the airport for my the start of my travels. I arrived at 8:00pm and immediate went to the Alaska Air Board Room for a couple more drinks.

The atmosphere in the AS board room was fantastic. very relaxing and active. With a couple more drinks down and a 2 hour wait, and rekindling of a friendship, I was off to my gate D-3. it was a quick wait and on-board I went.

The flight attendant in our cabin "Jenny" was an absolute awesome flight attendant. My seat row mate Moira who is an MVP Gold gave her an "Outstanding Achievement" award from (All of us) that would be the 3 of us, Moira, Andreas, and I.
And as soon as we take off we are landing again in Vancouver BC. I quickly wander the Long, LARGE Cavernous bowls of this airport. As I have never been to this airport but have been to Vancouver before, i begin to worry that I'll never find the CAthay Pacific Lounge.

Finally after about 15 minutes of wandering, checking in with Customs, exchanging money and asking multiple people for directions i find what i'm looking for:

The receptionist is the nicest outstanding attendant i have come across at an airport lounge. Elizabeth rotates her position with 2 other persons during the week. The lounge is open until 2:15AM or until the flight leaves which can be much later. Here is a photo of Elizabeth;

She quickly checked me in for my flight and explained directions to the "First Class Lounge" which is located within the regular "Cathay Pacific Lounge". The First class Lounge is nothing more than an extra room in the regular lounge and isnt that impressive:
